A Satzfrage begins with the <a href="https://courseware.nus.edu.sg/e-daf/cwm/beg/e3/syntax/synver.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Verb</a>. The <a href="https://courseware.nus.edu.sg/e-daf/cwm/beg/e3/syntax/synsub.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Subjekt</a> usually follows right after the Verb. And of course, the question mark rounds off the Satzfrage.

- Sprechen Ursula und Roland Spanisch?

- Ja, sie sprechen Spanisch.

- Spielst du gern Fußball?

- Nein, ich spiele lieber Tennis

A Wortfrage always begins with a <a href="https://courseware.nus.edu.sg/e-daf/cwm/beg/e3/syntax/synfra.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Fragewort</a> (wer, wann, wie, wo...). The <a href="https://courseware.nus.edu.sg/e-daf/cwm/beg/e3/syntax/synsub.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Verb</a> and the <a href="https://courseware.nus.edu.sg/e-daf/cwm/beg/e3/syntax/synsub.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Subjekt</a> follow in the second and third positions respectively. A question mark rounds off the Wortfrage.
