Digit 4 in japanese culture.
I heard recently that in Japan digit 4 is very unlucky digit. Aparrently in hotels 4 floor doesn't exist and there is no room No 4. Is it true or it's another myth

4 = death... well, pronounced quite close anyway. That's the way I was informed in the neighboring country and possibly the reason is the same in Japan.
At least when I was in China, I saw a lot of buildings that were missing floors like 4, 14, 24 and so on.
Also floor 13 was missing from some of the newer buildings.
