Do you feel nervous when speak a foreign language? If yes, what do you do to ease your nerve?

Sometimes when I speak English I could get so nervous that I even stutter at some point, but other times I am just fine.

What do you think is the reason that makes you nervous when you speak a foreign language? What calms you down?

Speak slowly. Not overly sloooooow, but slower than you normally do. Usually, mistakes happen if your tongue gets ahead of your brain ;-)

Besides, I can only echo what was allready said: Practice, practice and some more of that.

Same here, I always feel like my tongue rolls in different directions lol. I'd say just keep on practicing to build your confidence. The more you speak and use the language, the more it becomes natural. This is what I did when I took my IELTS, it worked.

the same problem :))) we should expand our vocabulary, it helps to explain our thoughts, and of course practice and practice!!

Yes. I always feel nervous. I usually talk right on but I'm trying to take a few seconds to prepare what I speak and then blurt it all out. I think practice helps, that's the only way. The more you indulge yourself in something, the more confidence you can build in yourself.

I have the same problem. When I write in English it is ok, but when I have to talk it is really hard to find all those words and to make the sentenses right . I have noticed that the longer I talk i become more calm..the beginning is always hard :)
