I think not the video chat is the real danger because you can stop it anytime and ban your pervert partner. In my opinion, there is more dangerous that if you share personal informations in your profile (MSN, Skype, etc.), such as phone number and so forth. So they can insult you in the real life even if you banned them. I suggest whether do not share any personal info or use a fake login for this purpose.
