I am trying to get in to Chinese drama or TV show that might help me understand the language better. Are there any recommendations?
If there is an english subtitle available, it would be better.
I recommend you check out Viki TV. They have hundreds of Chinese TV shows with english subtitles, which you can watch for free.
You can watch "waking love up" on viki.com (I enjoyed watching this drama)
You can also watch dramas with English subtitles on dramafever.com
"If You Are The One" is a Chinese dating game show. It is on free-to-air TV in Melbourne every night at 6.30. Although the show content isn't my normal choice of entertainment, it contains lots of 'normal' conversation in Mandarin, with English subtitles.
