What do you think about Democracy ?

I have thinking, about, how democratic is my country and the country where I'm currently living?, I took a look around, and I realized that democracy is just a delusion.
We have a duopolio, in almost, every American country. So we don't have
to many options.
Finally we just can take 2 decision A or B but I don't think that 2 ideas of government represent a real democracy.
That is not all, big companys have become more powerful than countries where they are.
They use lobbys and I thinks that is a great tool but just when comon people does, when big companies does this kind of practice, finally the politician star working for them and that is not democratic that all.
I like the freedom but I wondering, how free are we?.

Go to Russia and compare, I'll bet that after our 'democracy' you wouldn't say that US democracy is a delusion :))

You're from Chile. I don't know how accurate this view is, but I view Chile as one of the most democratic countries in Latin America today. Try Cuba instead.

Democracy stands for something, some voices, ideas or conception but the kernel of democracy roots in RESPECT. Where there is respect, there is authentic democracy. It is a pity that most of the American do not respect other countries where some people do have identical thought with them.

Democracy is only the majority rules over the minority but yet the best system in my opinion! All of them sucks!

Unfortunately, The Democracy is exploited by bourgeois like other system. At least you have more rights. But I couldn't accept ignorant people's toady votes.
