It is quite popular here amongst young adults and children. However, one can only do a prank in the morning before noon, otherwise the joker is considered a "fool." That being said, most play pranks after the morning, haha! Also, physical pranks have lessened over the years as technology has grown. Most pull pranks via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. now.

In Brazil, it happens in April 1st also, but nowadays nobody uses this day to foolish people or make jokes. 

Some years ago April fools were more interesting. Everybody were joking with each other.I did not make with anybody today;)

Venezuela does have a day for this, but like in Colombia, it is on December 28th.
