It's a nice article in general but.... I'm not really sure about "ошеломительно голубые глаза" or "ошеломительная внешность Мары". It just doesn't sound natural to me. Instead I would say - "У нее изумительные глаза... потрясающая внешность..." When it comes to <em>ошеломительный,</em> the only collocation which is really worth knowing would be ошеломительный успех, but that doesn't relate to the topic.

I disagree, since I took these sentences from Russian books and I'm sure that authors knew what did they write.

And as for me, that sounds Russian.
