「与えられています」を使うと、「誰から与えられたのだろう？」と思われる可能性があります。なので、この場合は、誰から与えられたのかは、分からないので、「持っている」を使うのが自然(I mean like a native)だと思います。 resourceful 「機知に富む」(kichi ni tomu) you are right, but most Japanese use this rarely. 娯楽(ごらく goraku) 十分=充分(じゅうぶん juubun) it doesn't mean 10 minutes, but "enough"
