First notebook entry: Introducing myself my name is daniel. I'm half black and half samoan with the hopes of learning samoan so I can better communicate with my elder relatives and be in tune with both my culture. What i want out of this, is closure from the embarrasing feeling of not knowing my own language and feeling like an outcast when it comes to communicating with my older family members. i hope i can surprise them with this so it's more of a gift that i want to give to them to let them know i am proud to be who i am.
