First italki journal
This is my first notebook entery.
I may end up writing lots of these, or this may be the only one I ever write.
I guess I'll say a bit about my interest in languages.
I think it's super neat how languages and the interaction of words allows people to describe things that exist in thier imaginations. From simply describing mundane things (like making a journey to a store to get items) to role playing to teaching someone about technology/science, shared visualizations of the world are fun and extreamly important.
I am interested in every language. However, I have learned the most about Mandarin, Logban, Latin, Pidahan, French, and obviously English. Of those, I am fluent in English, and I am nooby at best in Chinese. All of the others I could have a conversation about, but really can't speak at all.
Also interesting to me are languages that are not languages in themselves, but rather other ways of encoding information. Specifically: computer languages, math, body language, a bit of asl (american sign language), braille, morse code, visual art/drawing/diagrams.
If you read this far; Thanks! I encourage you to message me and have a conversation about life the universe or anything!
