First Arabic Entry.

I studied Arabic for the first time today so please excuse but correct my mistakes.

أنا الیوم فعلت درس أولی

ana aliwam f'ilatu dars awli

I did my first arabic lesson today

In my opinion, this sentence is more natural:

اليوم أخذت أول درس في اللغة العربية 

Alyaoum a5athtu awal dars fi al-lo3'a al-3arabiya 

Literal translation: Today (I) took my first lesson in Arabic.
