はじめまして、ジョウっていいます(better: ジョウ/ジョーです)。イースターンミシガン大学の三年生です。アメリカから来ました。ミシガンのイプシランティチは主審しゅっしんです。ぼくのせんこうは日本語です。よろしく(ね) (おねがいします)！(いっしょに)べんきょうしましょう！

I'm from (place) has two meanings in Japanese.

(place)からきました。= I came from (place). (I imagine that you aren't in your country now.)

(place) (の)しゅっしんです。= I was born in (place). (It doesn't mean that now you are there or not.)

Or, you can also say 私はアメリカじんです(I'm American) / アメリカにすんでいます(I live in the USA) to introduce yourself.
