You wrote that you wanted to read a good Russian book. I've just read an excellent novel in verse written by Alexander Pushkin. It's a classic of Russian literature.
This book tells about the fates of Onegin the bored fop, Lensky the romantic poet, Tatyana the provincial beauty and her sister Olga.
Tatiana loves Onegin, but he rejects her love. Many years later, they meet again. This time it is Onegin who falls in love with Tatyana and she who rejects him—not because she no longer loves him, but because she honors[honours] her marriage vow.
Eugene Onegin was Pushkin's own favorite[favourite] work. The plot of this book is very interesting and fast-paced, and the characters are well developed. The atmosphere of this novel is very ancient.
There is an antique charm and it is told from the perspective of the a reader as if they are watching the action.
All is in all, Eugene Onegin is a great, wonderful and remarkable book that I think is very well written. I earnestly recommend that you read it.
