I completely understand your frustration, and I recommend trying to find someone in Tucson who wants to learn Spanish and arrange an intercambio with them. If this isn't possible, there are a lot of people on italki who want to practice speaking. If you can afford it, finding a teacher to help you might give you more confidence much faster.

Hi, everyone

My name is Melissa and i'm I've been trying to learn English since for many years ago but it is for me like math is for my students. I am a teacher in UABC Mexicali, Mexico, but at this moment I interrupted my took a break from work because I am studying a PhD.

I am in Tucson, Az right now on a short stay for three months and this situation (to stay in the USA) has been very difficult for me because my English is not very good, always I'm always trying to translate in my mind what I'll speak say and it takes long to talk; this is horrible..

Some times I prefer not to speak, but if I never try Ii will never learn.

Today I spoke a little more but it isn't enough.
