The unknown fact about the popular brazilian candy - rapadura Rapadura is a candy made in Brazilian Northeast . many brazilians think it's a national candy but actually it's a candy from Goa, India. Portugueses brought it to Brazil when Brazil and Goa were colonies. In Goa, rapadura is made with coconut, but here is made with sugar cane. There are many types of rapadura: pure (only sugar cane) or together with guava, coconut, peanut,etc... In Semi Arid Region , street markets can sell it very big size ,sometimes you need a wheelbarrow to carry it, or small size like a cellphone.
