The Fight of the Century.
The media can create heroes and interesting people, and destroy them quickly. They have many ways to sell us someone and also, to impress us with their stupid abilities. The media profit with our necessity of having a hoppy something to escape from of our daily lives. But, do the media need to have to be a good guy and sell us beneficial things? Obviously, not. They are people searching with an economic interest in mind.
In that sense, to say tell us that the boxing match between “Pacquiao vs Mayweather” would be “The fight of the century” was an advertising campaign to sell us a product. The sale was successful; both boxers, promoters, advertisers, and obviously the media won made a lot of money. The only losers were the people who bought the tickets, made threw parties or arranged another specific events to watch the boxing match.
Personality Personally, for me it's very funny to listen to a lot of comments previously before and after of the boxing match and after, as well, like discussions among ex- former boxers or sports specialists (I don’t know how can a person can be a specialist just by watching a sport game) who tried to explain who would be the winner. The same people continued their discussion discussing but after the stupid boxing match was over.
