You can use a Japanese IME software to type in ひらがな. I prefer Google's Japanese IME (free download), but Windows has one built in as well. It's well recommended to learn hiragana as soon as possible, and a great way of doing that is by typing (but handwriting is great to learn as well). Good luck!
