It’s important for friends to be interested in the same things.

I partly agree with this statement. For example, I think that is important to be interested in the same things but not everything. I believe that if you aren’t interested in the same things, it’s probable that your friend could show you things that you don’t know and this is important for your life. You can learn new things, such as practicing some sports or even learn another language. However it’s also possible that some people don’t like different people and sometimes it can be difficult to socialize with them. There are many narrow-minded people that always think themselves and don’t like to learn new things. Fortunately, I’ve learned different things throughout my life (¿throughout my life?). I’m lucky because as (a) result of leaving home, I’ve met new people here in Zaragoza, and this is an advantage for me. <em>and this has been good for me /  and I have benefited from this</em>
