1- "Marry off your son when you wish. Marry off your daughter when you can!"
A son can marry when ever he wants, because he will always be able to find a bride. A daughter must get married right away, before she is old.
There is also implies that a daughter is a burden and a source of trouble, and the family should get rid of her as soon as possible.
2- "Marriages are all happy. It's having breakfast together that causes all the trouble."
This could be rephrased: "Marraiges are happy, as long as the husband and wife don't speak to each other."
It implies that spouses will argue during breakfast, and may imply that spouses should have sex before bed, and not speak to each other afterwards.
3- "Marriage is just friendship if there are no children."
The purpose of marriage is to have children. If you have not had children, then you are not fulfilling the purpose of marriage, and are no different from being just friends.
4- "The woman cries before wedding and the man after."
A woman does not want to go into a marriage (because she doesn't want to leave her family or she doesn't love her future husband). A man cries after he is married because he can not have sex with other women.
5- Advice to the bride: "Wear something old and something new, something borrowed, and something blue."
This is an old supersition, and has no other meaning.
With the exception of number five, these are all considered very negative views about women and marriage.
The only one of these I have ever heard is 5.
It is just a superstition about what the married couple should bring to the wedding for a happy marriage.
