My shopping day

This morning I woke up at 8 o'clock, but my alarm clock went off at 8:20. First of all I started to surf the Internet on my iPad. I searched for a news website then I looked at some photos on Instagram. After that  I got up and went to my bedroom. There I had a shower and cleaned my teeth. Then I had breakfast. I ate bread and butter with salami. After that my wife and I went to her/my parents flat by car. Our journey took 50 minutes. At her/my parents flat I drank coffee and watched TV. Then we went to a shopping centre called RIO. There we walked in different shops. My/Her parents bought a hat, brochure and other things. I bought a hat. We walked for 1 hour. We felt tired and went to a cafe. We had lunch . We ate pasta, sandwich, burger, roll and drank coffee, tea and non-alcoholic cocktails. Then we bought some food at a food shop. After that we went home tired and happy :)

It sounds like you had a busy day! I would be careful about using firstly, secondly, thirdly together like you did. it sounds a bit awkward. We usually use this format when we are making demands of someone. It is normal in English to put the other person before yourself if there is more than one person doing an action _ my wife and I ...
