A few seconds ago, I watched a video on YouTube. In the video, the Korean guy ask to the people "1 dollar or mystery gift?" and the people chooses one. First guy don't say anything, but the second guy responsing "Mystery gift". On final, the Korean guy gave a tv to second guy and everybody on the hall stay very impressive and surprised.

You start off telling the story in present tense, then switch to past tense. It's better to be consistent. Putting it all in past tense would probably be more natural.
