In my country, we have this tradition called “nujuh bulanan”. It’s held when a woman is in her 7th month of pregnancy. There are several rituals in this tradition, one of them is “siraman”, where 7 of the woman’s closest relatives will shower her using 7 different sources of water. We believe that this ritual can prevent bad things from happening to the mother and the baby.
