Why do we write O but say A? In Russian, everything depends on stress. The stressed vowel is the strongest and the clearest. đŸ’ȘđŸ’ȘđŸ’Ș The farther another vowel is from the stressed one, the weaker and quieter it becomes.đŸ„ That’s why it’s simple: a weak O is pronounced quickly, and it turns into A. But a strong, stressed O stays clear. We pronounce it slowly and beautifully. And one more thing! đŸ€© For all beginners learning Russian, I’m giving the fifth lesson for free until the end of November. Start learning Russian in a fun and easy way!
