The bar chart clearly illustrates the change in the number of express delivery items in cities and rural areas from 2018 to 2020. Specifically, the quantity of the countryside’s express deliveries increased dramatically from 12 billion to 30 billion over the three years. In particular, it doubled from 2019 to 2020. However, compared with the countryside the total of express deliveries rose steadily from 51 billion to 83 billion. There are two reasons involved in this phenomenon. First, the economic development at a fast speed is the primary factor. With the standard of living of Chinese people improving, most people have ample money to shop online. In addition, the convenience of deliveries, which can offer people various choices and help them save time is another reason why people prefer to buy things on the internet. Second, the Chinese government has funded improvements to infrastructure, especially by investing a large amount on the countryside’s transportation system. Thus, the express delivery of rural areas has developed at a rapid speed which can provide their inhabitants with a better service. In my opinion/From my perspective/To my understanding, the market for express delivery still has a huge potential, in particular the development in rural areas. If the government does its utmost to foster the economy, such as by building factories and roads to offer job opportunities and to transport items, the prospects for express delivery will be promising.
