Could anyone tell me how to translate in english the italian expression "C'è troppa carne al fuoco" ? This strict meaning is "There is too much meat on the fire", that is a figurative way to say that there are too many things to consider (for example too many ideas to solve a problem)

This means literally, "there is too much meat in the fire." It sounds like an idiom that is not commonly used in English, at least to my experience. We do have a more common expression, "too many irons in the fire," which means someone has a lot of things happening in their life.
