Son expresiones equivalentes. "O sea" es algo más informal que "es decir".
"O sea" es más coloquial. Se utiliza algo más en lenguaje oral que escrito.

Las dos palabras tienen el mismo significado. "Es decir" es mas formal y "o sea" es mas informal.

'es decir' is the standard one. 'O sea' is more informal and very used specially among "posh" people.
