All in one questions 1) We saw / watched a very good film yesterday. ------------ Are these words mean the same here? ================ 2) -When did you last go to the cinema? -Last time I went to the cinema a few days ago. ----------- Is that correct answer? (Yes I know about short answers) ============== 3) She has worked there for three weeks. || She has been working there for three weeks. --------- Are the same sentences right? With a difference that in the first case she might be not working yet. Right?

1) Generally yes, these words are interchangeable here. 2) You can say "The last time I went to the cinema was a few days ago" or "I last went to the cinema a few days ago". Most people would probably use the first sentence. 3) Past Perfect Simple vs Past Perfect Continuous - fun times! :P Both of these tenses are used to express actions that started in the past and are continuing up until now. You can use the present perfect simple to talk about how long something has been happening when we view it as permanent, whereas the present perfect continuous is often used to describe something that is temporary. However, three weeks is not a very long period of time. Let's look at another example: I have worked here for 30 years. Normally I work in London, but lately I've been working in Cardiff. YES ================ 2) -When did you last go to the cinema? -Last time I went to the cinema WAS a few days ago. ----------- Is that correct answer? (Yes I know about short answers). Almost. Just add a "was." ============== 3) She has worked there for three weeks. || She has been working there for three weeks. --------- Do these have the same meaning? Yes, and no grammar problems with them. With a difference that in the first case she might be not working yet. Right? No. There's actually no difference. It means she started the job three weeks ago and still works there now. first case she might be not working yet. Right?
