Why doesn't 爱 include the radical for heart in any of its 2 versions? What radicals constitue it?
What's the literal meaning of 爱?? Love is generally related to the figure of the heart, but I noticed that the pictogram for love (爱) does not includ the radicals for "heart". Why??

It does: 愛.
We gave up lots of things like this to make reading and writing easier for our people. You may also study those traditional hanzi characters if you like, Most Chinese people are able to read them, and they are still being used in Hong Kong, Macaw and Taiwan.
Get yourself prepared if you are going to do so. They are much more complicated. For example: 烏龜（乌龟）。
