Please recommend some of my name on English. Hi. My korean name is Minjeong Kim and nickname is Younglong. But I want to have English name because I'll participate in language exchange meeting in Gangnam, Korea soon. Do you know Gangnam style - Phy? haha. It was very famous worldwide through youtube. Anyway, I want to introduce myself as English name. So please recommend some of my name on English. As for me, I'm active and positive personality and I love a dog and travelling.

Just like Nick, "Minnie" was the first name that occurred to me--and "Minnie Driver" the first person with that name I thought of. I do not know the cultural reasons why Asians feel they should adopt English sounding names. I do not think it is necessary. I notice that "Younglong" actually happens to be a combination of two English words, and unless you dislike the sound of the two words "Young" and "long" pronounced together, I think it would be a charming name. In the U.S. young women in particular often invent original names. "Younglong" has a pleasant sound, and the associations are pleasant too (may you long stay young!) I certainly know "Gangnam Style." I am an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a university famous for science and engineering, and I thought an MIT parody of "Gangnam Style," https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJtHNEDnrnY , was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.

Perhaps you could use the name "Minnie", since it sounds similar to your Korean name. That name is not extremely common, but there are a few famous people with the name: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnie . I immediately think of the actress Minnie Driver.

Mindy is a very nice name and rare! You could change Jeong to Johnson. Mindy Johnson! That is very American sounding!!! (민디 잔슨)

I'm a big fan of using your given Korean name. Why have cultural exchange otherwise ? Korean culture is so rich in many ways, at the least you can share names with us.
