How to translate negation: "dat ik zoek niet" The Dutch word of the day has proposed a sentence: - Mijn plaatselijke autodealer heeft het model dat ik zoek niet. ...and it's translation: >>My local car dealership doesn't have the model I'm looking for. But shouldn't the Dutch phrase be then "heeft geen model dat ik zoek"? As I see it, the translation should be more of a "he has the model that I am not looking for". Am I wrong?

The sentence is ok, though perhaps it would be easier to understand with a different order: - heeft het model dat ik zoek niet = heeft het model niet dat ik zoek = doesn't have the model that I'm looking for - heeft geen model dat ik zoek = doesn't have any model that I'm looking for - heeft het model dat ik niet zoek = has the model that I'm not looking for
