How to say "love" for a close friend and how to indicate "love" for the one your hearth belong to? I really can't understand how to tell a friend i love her. Yep i mean "as a friend" (boom friendzoned! xD ) I don't want to been mistaken, we know each other by few years and i really got feeling of a strong bond with her, but it isn't romantic love. In Italy "amore" and "ti amo" ("love" and "i love you") only means about the "romantic feeling ". We got "ti voglio bene" (in english you can only translate it in "i love you") which means "i got strong feelings of friendship" ... As you can see i'm not good in english overall. :S

You could say she is "very dear" to you. It has no explicit romantic connotations. (if its still too strong you can also say "very dear friend" instead)

the problem with English is that they don't really have expressions for those kinds of things, they don't have too much options, for example in Spanish we say "te amo" for a person who you love in a romantic way but we say "te quiero" for someone that you love as a friend, but in English is different, what you can do is only say "I like you" because it is not as strong as "I love you" and it doesn't imply something romantic
