When a group of people surprise you and beat you up (physically violent toward you and they catch you by surprise).

Either as above (being jumped on and beaten/mugged by someone) or it can also mean you got jumped by your partner (sexually).

When some unrully persons rush and injure anyone ,they get jumped A kind of fracas....I think:-)
