Conditional question I often make mistakes in conditionals example - If he wasn't ill he would take part in the World cup. (I mean that the World cup is going to be in the future) But if the World cup is happening now how can I say that situation above? I can't see the difference between present and future in that situation. Or diffeent example. A sportsman broke his leg yesterday and I can say - If he hadn't broken his leg he would take part in the World cup (which is happening now). But if the World cup is going to be in the future how should I say it? - If he hadn't broken his leg he WILL take part in the World cup (?). I think it's not correct.

This is how to say it: 1. If he wasn't ill he would be taking part in the World Cup now. 2. If he had not broken his leg, he would be taking part in the World Cup now.
