Hi, in Italy, when we write to a teacher, we usually use the 3rd person. Moreover "Ciao" isn't quite good to write to a teacher, a better form is "Salve" which is more formal. Salve *****, Le scrivo perché ho appena controllato i dettagli del mio volo per l'Inghilterra di Natale e mi sono reso conto che ho fatto un errore quando ho prenotato. Il volo è il 16 dicembre, che è la stessa data per i nostri secondi esami. C'è qualche possibilità di prendere entrambi gli esami il 15? Grazie in anticipo

as my fellow compatriot stated, I wouldn't say "ciao" to a teacher, but it actually depends on your relationship. Some teachers are easy-going and they are fine with "ciao", others prefer "gentile Dott./Prof." or "Buongiorno". :) cambierei solo *c'è qualche possibilità di DARE entrambi gli esami il 15 In English is "to take exams" but in Italian it's always è "to give exams" :)
