plural? singular? "Although I've seen some other works about a genius, "Good Will Hunting" is the most inspirational for me." I think that most movies about geniuses normally deal with "one" specific genius. That's why I said "a genius" in that sentence. Why should I write "genius" in plural there? Is it because I'm referring to more than one work? I'm not sure. Please help me!

The difference is really not worth worrying about, but normally I would refer to the general class of "movies about geniuses". "Geniuses" is non-specific. This assumes one understands that normally a movie portrays only one. On the other hand, if you want to say it the other way, you might refer to "movies about some genius".
