set meal/combo meal/meal//to have a part-time job/to have part-time jobs in (the) retail (business) 1. Do you say "set meal" and "combo meal" in English? Is there any difference between them? Please take a look at this page: https://www.google.com.tw/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fstatic.my.groupon-content.net%2F93%2F94%2F1338957869493.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.groupon.my%2Fdeals%2Fipoh%2FBrewsterlane-Kitchen%2F716119595&docid=Hx_F7gDEMm_pWM&tbnid=EprMboTxtBzvGM%3A&w=320&h=212&ved=0ahUKEwi76qWnhp3MAhVEjJQKHf-9DH8QMwgbKAAwAA&iact=mrc&uact=8&biw=1366&bih=653 How should I say to express such a meal? A set meal? A combo meal? Or a meal? 2. a. College students have a part-time job in retail. b. College students have part-time jobs in retail. →Are they both correct? What's the difference between them? Can I say "in retail business" or "in the retail business" to replace "in retail"? Thanks!

no idea what a "combo" meal is. Are you sure it is English?

a. College students have a part-time job in retail. (this suggests that they have one job) it i more likely that one student has one job. So I suggest that while this might be correct depending on the structure around it is less likely. b. College students have part-time jobs in retail. This is far clearer and more correct. in retail is great, in the retail business is great, in retail business is less good. However, let's look at another phrase I have great experience in retail, I have great experience in the retail business. Yes, that confirms it "in retail business" is less good.
