Could you please tell me what the two 'wound up' mean in the sentences? Thanks you so much ^ ^
"She WOUND UP pushing another carton into my hands, and I WOUND UP ditching them in the kitchen trash before my father sat down to breakfast".
What the story is saying before is that the girl keep giving the boy(i.e 'I') cartons of eggs every morning. But the boy's family, especially his father, are not like them. So he ditch them in the trash every time.

ho my friend !! i think the word WOUND UP means ENDED UP
if you replace the two words you will understand better "She ENDED UP
pushing another carton into my hands, and I ENDED UP
ditching them in the kitchen trash before my father sat down to breakfast".
and you made a typing mistake i think you shouldn't use thanks there "Thanks you so much ^ ^" thank is the correct one
you can use thanks but you need to delete "you so much " for it to be correct
hope i helped !

You got good answers. There is another meaning of the phrase "wound up". It means "angry", "nervous", worried or "agitated". For example, "She's all wound up." Don't get confuse with "wounded" = 傷了

IMHO, In both examples the meaning of 'wound up' is the same - as in #1 below (arrive or end up in a specified state, situation, or place.).
(Unfortunately, Google doesn't show the link for that source and any other source I found doesn't convey the meaning as well as this one)
wind up
phrasal verb of wind
informal
1.
arrive or end up in a specified state, situation, or place.
"she wound up in hospital with pneumonia"
synonyms: end up, finish up, find oneself, land up, land oneself; informal fetch up
"it's no wonder he wound up in hospital"
2.
another way of saying wind something up (sense 2).
"he wound up by attacking Nonconformists"
