In what circumstances should I use those sentence. I'm confusing with tense and aspect. What's the different between present simple and present perfect? And when should I use those sentence. 1. I have been married for a year. 2. I have married. 3. I am married. 4. I have been married.

1. I have been married for a year. (You got married to the person 1 year ago and you are still married) 2. I have married. (At some time in the past you married someone) 3. I am married. (Stating a fact about your current marital status) 4. I have been married. (Telling someone that you have married someone before, possibly still married but possible now divorced) :)
