This is an excerpt of a reading comprehension test: It is agreed that they enjoy making noises ,and that during the first few months one or two noises sort themselves as particularly expressive as delight, pain ,friendliness, and so on. But since these can’t be said to show the baby's intention to communicate ,they can hardly be regarded as early forms of language. I find there is something wrong with this part "as particularly expressive as...". I think it should be "as particularly expressive of delight, pain, friendliness...", because the intended meaning is "some noises are distinguished from others because they show baby's delight, pain, friendliness...". Do you think I am right? Thank you.
