Can Banana man refer to a girl?
I know the US grown-up Chinese people are sometimes called Banana Man, (they have Asian faces but do not speak Chinese language, they are more like the white inside）. Can this word refer to a gril as well? This word Can also be applied to all the Chinese people grown up in any Western countries? I'm not sure if this word is derogatory. Thank you!

My South East Asian friends simply say "banana", not "banana man".  Yes, I agree it's derogatory. I'd never use it.

In the US, it is derogatory.  Don't use it for men or women.

As it's slang, I am sure it can be used for both men and women.  A Chinese-origin friend once told me about the expression and the usage was derogatory.  I don't think it is widely known.  There would be no reason for a white British person to use the phrase even if they wanted to be offensive.  But if they did, for some reason, then it would probably be taken offensively.
