The difference between "warranted" and "guaranteed" Hello everybody, I got mixed up with these two words: "warranted" and "guaranteed". I believe they're quite similar but I'm not sure. So could you please tell me whether they're synonyms or not? If not, could you please provide me with some examples to make the differences between them clearer? Many thanks in advance. Matías.

I recommend you check a monolingual dictionary and search for example sentences on a sentence database like fraze.it. It's worth knowing that "to guarantee" is used much more widely, and "to warrant" is used mainly in legal contexts. "warrant" can also mean "justify". Then try explaining to us the differences - even with your own example sentences - and we can clarify as required.
