Help with expression(please) Hi, there Why do you say "a tall, handsome man" but "a short beautiful man" or "a beautiful short man"?? Why do you put commas in the first? What about "a beautiful tall man/woman"? And could you say, for example, "A short, fat man" or "a short fat man"? and "A tall, skinny, hands one mean"? "a handsome, tall, skinny man"? What about "A small, cute chubby dog"? Or "a small, cute, chubby dog"? Which order and with or without commas? 2) What does "just as" mean here? "Those leading Silicon valley's push for gender equality said they were astonished that just as the movement was having an impact, it opened up an even more radical men's rights perspective." Please Thank you! Hi

Firstly, we don't usually use "beautiful" to describe men- we use the word handsome. Adjective order in English follows very specific rules, with adjectives that describe certain attributes coming before or after adjectives that describe other attributes. for example, we put adjectives that give an opinion (nice, horrible, interesting) before descriptive adjectives (blue, old, big) so we say " a horrible old man" or a "nice big smile" I don't put commas between adjectives that describe the same noun, but I'm not sure if it's completely incorrect to do so. This article from the British Council website explains it well and gives some good practice exercises: https://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/en/english-grammar/adjectives/order-adjectives The second question: "Just as" here means "at the same time" so "At the same time as the movement was having an impact, it opened up.... etc" I hope that helps
