A couple of questions about Afrikaans 1. What is the different between “doen” and “maak”? The difference is clearly not in line with Dutch or English, because I came across the sentence “ek sal so maak” (I will do so, dat zal ik doen), which is more reminiscent of German if anything (ich werde es machen). Could I say “ek sal so doen” with the same meaning? 2. I came across the sentence “die reënjas in ‘n sak sit” (to put the raincoat in a bag). Why not “die reënjas in ‘n sak lê”? In Dutch it would be: je /legt/ een regenjas in een zak; je /zet/ een regenjas niet in een zak. 3. Waarheen = waarnatoe? 4. I came across the locution “waarvan praat jy?”, answered with “ek praat oor…”. So is it equally possible to say “waaroor praat jy” and “ek praat van…”? 5. in the sentence “ek wil nie vanaand uitgaan nie”, could one say “ek wil vanaand nie uitgaan nie” instead?
