I looked up dictionaries but it doesn't seem to have a meaning for voting. Does it have another meaning in this context above?

Why does that teacher use "should" all the time, it makes it confusing!
I understand this as "if all goes well" “if all goes according to plan”

Is it possible that proxy is an IT term? In any case, skin colour will cause coalitions in certain societies. And maybe the skin colour will act as a proxy server ( as a sort of relay) between people’s ideas and the effects?

If its the proxy linked to voting maybe we can understand proxy as a “laissez-passer” for the creation of coalitions?
