Do these two sentences mean the same? 1. He earns six times more money every year than he did ten years ago. 2. He earns six times as much money every year as he did ten years ago.

Yes, they are the same. However, you should specify time. Did he start earning six times as much (or six times more) nine years ago? Probably not. I assume you mean now, so: 1. He NOW earns six times more money every year than he did ten years ago. It does not specify when, but it implies that his income has been rising, and NOW it's six times more than ten years ago. Sentence 1 is saying that every year he is earning more money. That it’s adding up. Sentence 2 is saying that every year he earned the same amount, equal amount. Staying the same. Same as is equal too, example , same as last year. I have the same shirt as yours. More is abundance , example, the more apples we have the better. Hope this helps
