Noor, we have no idea whether these statements are 'true' or not! We don't know anything about you, so how can we know whether you're telling the truth? Remember that whether or not something is 'true' or 'false' is about real-world facts. I think that you are probably asking us about the grammar of your sentences. In that case , your question should be "Are both of them RIGHT?" or "Are both of them CORRECT?". Now, that's a question we can answer: Yes, both of them are correct, but the focus is slightly different. 1. "I took an ICDL course at AUC." This is past simple, and it's telling us something about a point or a period in the PAST. Maybe it's telling us what you did in 2010, or what you did after graduation or before you joined your company. 2. "I've taken an ICDL course at AUC." This is present perfect, and it's telling us something about the PRESENT situation. Maybe you've done this course very recently, and you're telling us that you now have a qualification that you didn't have before. Or maybe you're telling us that you are the ideal person to give advice about AUC because you have experience of studying there.
