I had a few questions.

1) What is the difference between 身份证 and 证件? Do they mean the same thing at all times or are there times when the two are different?

2) I want to know the pronunciation of 得到 in the following sentence -- *is it "de2 dao4" or "dei3 dao4"?
"那天他的支票刚好没有了，所以得到银行取新的。"

1.身份证 is a term with only one meaning:Identification Card.
But 证件 can refer to ID card,driver's license,student card,passport,etc.

2.dei3 dao4 is rcorrect.
When the word's(得) pronunciation is "dei3",it means something/someone  need/must......it's very similar to the term"需要" in Chinese.
