I got something? is "got" bad?
Hello,
does the use of "got" in place of "have" sound as bad as the use of "ain't" in a not informal conversation? "ain't" conveys to me something really really colloquial, bordering bad grammar, but saying phrases like "I got something for you"or "I got many things to do" it does not sound as bad for me and, I'm not 100% sure but I think in american movies I can hear "got" used this way also in a business context among colleagues, whereas "ain't" would be confined only in order to describe a low level setting. Am I right? what do you think?
thank you
