Rules On English Punctuation. I haven't been taught how to use punctuation in English writing. I remember our school teacher said there are no strict rules in punctuation. But I guess they are thought. Could you please recommend some grammer sites or textbooks where I can find all of the punctuation rules. Thank you!

But our teacher said: "Punctuation marks are like terrific lights, they lead you and help you to understand better." Please see : https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punctuation

The use of the "," (comma) or lack there of, is a big one. I remember being tought that if you are talking or writing and you come to a brief stop, (like that) it probably requires a comma.

https://www.grammarbook.com/ The author is Canadian and so emphasises N American English. There are some minor variations between US and UK English. You probably use most punctuation marks reasonably well. Most problems for students relate to the comma. I recommend studying: a) comma splice b) use (or non-use) of comma in relative clauses c) avoid comma in e.g. "I think that I will go out..." Germans and Russians like to add a comma before "that")
